Shirley L. Wallace

     Shirley L. Wallace, 87, of Waterford, Ohio, died on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 in Marietta at the home of her brother, Wilfred Dimit. She was born on July 27, 1936 in Woodsfield, Ohio, daughter of Raymond W. and Mazie Minger Dimit. She graduated from Marietta High School in 1956 and had been a school bus driver for Ewing School in Marietta for 25 years. She enjoyed her family very much and she took care of many foster children for many years. She loved to sew and embroidery and made many beautiful things for her family and friends. She was married on October 4, 1957 in Lowell, Ohio to Oliver Wallace who died on October 23, 2010. Shirley is survived by a son, Mark Todd Wallace (Nancy) of Coal Run; a daughter, Amy Lynn Wallace of Waterford; a granddaughter, Jennifer Lynne Wallace (Dave Trent); two great grandchildren, Irwin Oliver Wallace-Trent and Gabrielle Lunette Wallace-Trent; two brothers, Wilford Dean Dimit and William Lorn Dimit (Judy); two sisters, Carol Joann Harrington and Norma Lou Roe; a special nephew, Steve Roe and Beth; two special nieces, Deedee Cunningham and Missy Coe and Steve; and several other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and a brother, Larry Dimit.

     Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, April 27, 2024 at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly with Evang. Ronald Laughery officiating; Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery in Marietta.
